Mt Ruapehu Ski Camp

Hey Blog World, the Senior Syndicate recently had their Mt Ruapehu Ski Camp. We spent 4 days there. On the first day, while on the way down we went to the Hamilton Gardens, Otorohanga Walkway and Taumarunui Elementery School. We had to find the names of the gardens at the Hamilton Gardens. It was a competition out of all the groups. We also had morning tea at the Hamilton Gardens. Then at the Otorohanga walkway we had to read the signs about New Zealand history and answer questions on the paper the groups were given. It was there we had lunch. Then at Taumarunui we had a play and a little snack before we got to the National Park Hotel to book our accomidation. When we got to National Park Hotel we set up our rooms. Then the next 2 days we had so much fun on the mountain. Then on the final day we went to the Taupo AC Baths. We stopped at Huka falls for sightseeing. After we visited the Hamilton Gardens again for a snack stop and for fresh air. This  was such a fun camp/experience. I loved snowboarding. But I didn't like waiting in lines because I just wanted to keep going up and down the mountain. But at the end of the day we had fun. I learnt so much at camp like how to zig zag, turn and stop on a snowboard. I learnt that I should be a little bit more patient with others. We made slides on the camp. These slides explain what we did, what we felt like and what activities we did. Heres my 2017 Mt Ruapehu Ski camp presentation. Hope you enjoy. Please feel free to comment.

Mountain Inquiry

Hey Blog world, this term for inquiry we've been learning about mountains. Te Waka Ako is learning about this because were going to Mout Ruapehu for camp. Part of our inquiry was writing down the snow code is at Mt Ruapehu. Those are the rules at the mountain we have to keep to be safe or to set an example to others. We had to create an infographic about it. I really enjoyed this because I liked writing it down and having fun with Piktochart. The hard bit was finding symbols for the rules/snow code. But eventually I found symbols for them. Heres my infographic and the snow code it's self. Hope you enjoy. Please Feel free to comment on my blog.
